Dustin after the dentist

Yesterday my sweet husband had his remaining wisdom teeth removed. He had the first two done in high school, but his last two started to shift and thus had to get removed (at least they didn't grow back like in my nightmares!)

When the nurse came back to get me saying he was all done, she had a smirk on her face. I asked how things went, and she said "OH, everything went well and he is having all kinds of fun talking about how hot you are, when he wants to have babies, and that you just graduated."

When I reached the recovery room, Dustin was all smiles with blood shot eyes, poofy cheeks and all kinds of comments. I thought it might be fun to get his comments on video, as I know he wouldn't remember this later.

I had to edit the video to keep it PG :-) Hope you enjoy it! I really feel SO loved by all of his sweet (and funny) words.

I'm still alive...

Well, its been forever since i've posted an update to this blog. Grad school has pretty much consumed all of my time. I'm hoping to get back to my blogging once school is over, meaning I have my thesis wrapped up with a bright red ribbon!

Tonight I had an unexpected change of weekend plans, so Dustin and I just signed up to attend the Good Love Marriage Conference hosted at Cedar Valley Church. I'm looking forward to it and am interested to hear what they have to say, as i've never been to a marriage conference before. Honestly, I am looking forward to more time to focus on my marriage once I am done with school. We've started compiling a list of all the fun things we want to do together that we couldn't really do previously.

Some of the items include:
  • Camping (i'm not good at camping, but am willing to give it a try)
  • Gardening (last year we took a gardening class, but had no actual garden)
  • TROPICAL VACATION (caps because I am actually yelling with excitement)
  • Pursuing photography more and more. I am actually shooting my first wedding this June and I am super thrilled!
Well, that's it for now, folks!  May God bless your rest tonight!

Fall Inspiration Board

Fall is my favorite time of year. Not only is it my birthday and my husband's birthday (that's a lot of cake!), I love the weather, the smell of the air, and that back-to-school anticipation. Crazy how I've been out of college for five years and I still get excited about school. Yes, I am in grad school, so this MAY be my very last official "back to school" time!

I love fall so much, I decided to share some of my favorite fall things with you! Enjoy some eye candy and sip a latte!

My Life in 2010

I cannot believe how fast 2010 has come and gone.  This year has been a great one, presenting lots of challenges as well as opportunities for me.  It was a great year of love, learning, and growth, but I always look forward to what will be coming my way next.

Here are some of the things that happened this past year:
  • Transitioned from my job at Dr. Pederson's office
  • Started working for LifeTime Fitness(LOVE it!)
  • Spent lots of time with my best friend, Dustin
  • Celebrated our one year anniversary
  • Tore off wallpaper and painted in my craft room (LOTS of work...)
  • Became an auntie again! (welcome, little Bennett!)
  • Helped my mom through her breast cancer ordeal (praise God for how smoothly everything went!)
  • Started graduate school (obtaining my masters degree in organizational leadership)
  • Did LOTS of homework
  • Painted our family room
  • Got some furniture and new TV for the family room
  • Started many new traditions with our family
Some of the things I want to accomplish in 2011:
  • Go on a road trip
  • Determine a topic for my thesis and complete most of the work
  • Begin our kitchen transformation
  • Put up wall decorations
  • Learn more design skills
  • Become more compassionate
  • Go on a REAL camping trip... (aka more than one night...)
  • Make a difference in someone's life
I'm so thankful for all the blessings God has given me.  I look forward to all the great things to come in 2011.
