What A Day

Today feels like one of the longest days of the year for me.  I am tired on so many levels, yet I feel strong at the same time.

Today my mom had her breast cancer surgery.  Last night I hardly slept at all and today when I came to the hospital I can't say that I was emotionally stable.  Thank God for Cindy Peters and my wonderful family who was there with us through the entire day!

I am happy to say that my mom is doing well. She is really tired and is staying on top of the pain medicine.  Overall she is doing great though!  I am so glad this day is over and that we can move on with the recovery process.

Thank you to all of you who have been praying, please continue to do so for a quick recovery.  Its amazing how you can feel prayer holding you up and giving you peace during such a scary time.  I don't know what we'd do without the Lord.

I'm so glad to hear the surgery went well. I read a study recently that talked about the prognosis being significantly better in patients who had strong supporters--your mom is in good hands there it sounds like. :) Many hugs, and I will be praying for her and all of you!
